Peter, Jo, Michael and all the team at Jurassic vets would like to wish you and your pets a happy and healthy New Year.

As we approach our fourth birthday we would like to thank you all for your continued loyalty and support.

We have thoroughly enjoyed caring for you and your pets over the last four years and look forward to continuing to offer our services through the coming years.
A Big Thank You!

Thank you to all our clients that popped in over the festive period to extend their best wishes, deliver gifts, and Christmas cards. We are overwhelmed with your generosity and thoughtfulness. We now have enough chocolates and biscuits to keep us all going through 2018!

Keeping our fingers on the pulse…

This month we had the exciting delivery of our new Doppler Blood Pressure monitoring machine.

What does this mean for your pets?

Blood pressure is created by the pumping action of the hear it, the volume of blood circulating in the arteries, and the smooth muscle tone of blood vessel walls.

Blood pressure in the arteries is essential for adequate blood supply to the tissues and delivering oxygen to meet energy demands. The ability to measure and monitor trends in blood pressure providing us with important data about your pets.

This data is especially important for some patients undergoing a general anaesthetic and may help define the Veterinary Surgeons approach to treatment.

We are now lucky enough to be able to utilise both digital and manual blood pressure machines. It is investment in equipment like this that enables us to continue to provide the highest standards of care to your pets.

High blood pressure can be a particular problem observed in older cats. Keep an eye out for our new feline blood pressure clinics coming soon!

We have exciting plans in store for 2018, and we’d like to know how you think we are doing and what you’d like us to do for you and your pet in the coming year.

So, please help spread the word about our fully independent, RCVS accredited veterinary practice by leaving us a review below.

“An excellent veterinary practice with friendly professional staff. Best of the best and that’s what I want for my precious girls.
